AmiPC: Continuity fix

Unending BE - episode 105310

"Have you seen Ami and Nabiki?"
"Not since this morning. That's strange... I mean, they should be home by now."

The dinner was cooling and the two girls still weren't there. Ranma was quick to connect this with Ami using the computer; did something happen?

Later that night

PUMA, the cyborg catgirl previously known as Nabiki let herself drop from the ceiling and fall on the unsuspecting technician. Her mating cry now had a metallic echo to it, and the technician realized his mistake about five seconds after the creature latched onto his dick with her mouth and began to suck -- because for every stroke of Nabiki's tongue, dozens of minirobots invaded the poor soul's body. A counter ticked in Nabiki's mind and automatically decided the fate of the poor man, his brain so overwhelmed by the surprise and the pleasure that it hadn't even noticed the changes in its body.

PUMA's emotional subroutines felt superiority. As a High Autonomy unit, she was allowed some independent thought and even some emotions, while of course remaining fanatically loyal to CABAAL and her world domination agenda. Another Standard cyborg... cannon fodder. Yet, while THE CLUSTER was still small, they had to assimilate every worthwhile biological lifeform; later on, there would be plenty of time to select the best human strains for assimilation and dispose of the rest. Five hours after assimilation, the factory had already become a veritable fortress, also thanks to the heavy security implements that were already in place; now, a nearby power plant was the target. PUMA reported by radio to her fellow Cerebrate, ARTEMIS, that the last of the human technicians in the power plant had been assimilated. PUMA quickly uploaded the technician's relevant knowledge before implanting his mind with the standard-class programming and sending it to the refitting facility for armor and weaponry.

CABAAL, in Her wisdom, had seen unfit to equip the lower level units with microrobots beyond basic self-repair functions, so that the technology could not be captured by humans.

PUMA, TRX ARTEMIS.
ARTEMIS, ACK PUMA. MSG?
PUMA, once assimilation of the facility is complete, return to the primary factory. CABAAL CMD that I reach nearest human academic settlement and assimilate researchers. PUMA EOT ARTEMIS.
ARTEMIS, RCV PUMA. EOT.
PUMA felt a hint of envy, followed by a reassurance packet by CABAAL stating that she would get the chance for that kind of recruiting run as well. But unlike herself, ARTEMIS could very well pass for a human, and this capability would be needed for at least the time being. PUMA played back some of the sensofeed from a previous assimilation she really enjoyed (humans of African descent really had a hidden secret, then!) and proceeded with her orders: transmit all excess power to the main factory and be ready to cut off any other use.

Dawn

CABAAL was embedded in her throne, deep under the factory. Most of her processing capabilities was busy optimizing the resources for heavy vehicle conversion, and running tactical simulations for the human first strike she knew that would arrive. Using the complex's high speed internet connection, she had made a backup of her core functions in a select number of highly guarded databases, to remain dormant and activate in the unlikely event of her distruction. Beneath the plasma shield, the throne (actually a support for all the interface wirings) did have a regal aspect as what was left of Ami's human form merged seamlessly into the industrial structure; after all, CABAAL did integrate some of Ami's artistic preference into herself. Her major worry was represented by the martial artists, Ranma Saotome and his/her companions. Her former Senshi colleagues now had posed much less of a threat since their powers could do nothing to biomechanical lifeforms, but the chi-ased attacks of their current hosts were a threat. She had to develop a way to prevent the use of such techniques, and needed fresh brainpower to do it. Through a security camera, she saw the sun rise over the cyborg production facility; her former self would have appreciated the strong order beneath the apparent chaos of the drones working, but CABAAL simply registered that thought from her biological facet and kept it aside for appreciation later. Order. Control...

  1. By wakeup time, Ami and Nabiki are still missing, and Ranma decides to try and use the computer to know where they are...
  2. *The Soviet cyborg (remember him?) has been tracking the computer all this time, and knows what happens. Ranma is surprised to see a large, smelly zombie-robot man and an equally large and smelly zombie-robot dog waiting at the front door.
  3. Something else....
