When they arrived in the living room, Akane was already seated and drinking a glass of milk. She was doing so with little laps of her tongue, but otherwise she looked just like a normal girl, taking a drink. She used to be considered the smartest brain in the house, but now she was talked to in baby language and generally held to be little brighter than a common animal. Technically, of course, all three sisters were considered non-human, but only Nabiki was treated as sub-human. It rankled her, and she didn't know how much longer she could take it, despite all the love and pleasure she experienced.
